Flush Mount Lens Install

The secret is out!  Here's all the information you need on how Bad Dad performs flush mount lighting and hidden lighting installs for brake and running lights, turn signals, and license plates.

1. After everything is tested for fit, you are ready to begin. Put on some long sleeves and start chopping!

2. Cut hole to the size of the lens.

3. Lay thin layer of mat and resin down to build shelf.

11. Place license plate inside Bad Dad pocket and then secure it with weather resistant silicone as well as flat steel and two studs.  Also install 3"x5" brake light on the backside of the red Lexan brake lens.

12. You are now ready for paint.  Click here to see how to paint your flush lenses.

*Note:  When working with the exposed Lexan lenses, be careful not to expose the lens to thinners and other chemicals, and also try to prevent leaving large amounts of body filler on lenses for a long period of time.  Chemicals and fillers may cause slight fractures in Lexan.
